General Information
The safety and well-being of guests and employees is our top priority.
Our safety measures continue to remain consistent with guidance from health officials including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), appropriate state and local agencies, and expert consultants.
For additional details and location-specific mask requirements, please read our Covid-19 Update.
Our office in Uptown Sedona is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m, year-round. During the summer months, our office stays open until 8 p.m. Our Customer Service team can assist you by phone from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Anytime is great, but morning tours provide a better chance to see wildlife. All tour departures provide great photo opportunities.
Due to traffic conditions all tour times are approximate. Tour time includes loading and unloading at the beginning and end of your tour.
Our tours are conducted in smaller-sized vehicles but can hold multiple parties. There will most likely be other guests on the tour with you. We do offer private tours. Please visit our tour descriptions for per person and vehicle rate pricing.
The minimum age requirement varies by tour and is specified on each tour page. Most tours within Sedona require children to be at least 2 years old. Some of our more rugged tours require children to be at least 5. Children must be at least 3 on Grand Canyon tours; and at least 7 for the Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend Tour and Hiking Tours.
Pink Jeep Tours provides car seats for all children ages 2 to 4 years old. When you book your tour, please provide us with the ages of any children and we will take care of the rest!
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs that are under 15 pounds are allowed as long as they are in a soft-sided carrier that can be held in the owner's lap for the duration of the tour. We do not allow dogs on our day trips (tours longer than 4 hours) due to the tour length and the comfort of all of our guests. The Ancient Ruins tour visits a national heritage site that does not allow animals to enter the site. Certified service animals are permitted on all of our tours.
For the safety of our passengers, all guests must have upper body strength with the ability to hold themselves up during the tour. Guests are responsible for getting themselves in and out of our vehicles for their tour.
Most of our Jeep tours are considered too rugged for women who are expecting. However, we do offer a city tour that stays on the pavement and our Grand Canyon tours are also great options.
Most of our tours do not require hiking, although they do have picture stops where you will be getting out of the vehicle and doing short walks on uneven terrain. Our Ancient Ruins tour includes a 3/4 mile walk through the ruin site that takes approximately 45 minutes. The Touch the Earth tour also has some walking up hills. If you are interested in hiking specifically, consider our 2.5-hour Hiking Tour.
FAQs.Reservations
While we do not require advance reservations we do have limited tour permits and often sell out. We highly recommend making reservations in advance for the best availability of our tours and departure times.
Pink Jeep has a 48-hour cancellation policy in order to receive a refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded.
Our tours operate rain or shine. Rainfall is generally very short-lived and may offer the chance for you to see rainbows or waterfalls. We carry rain ponchos in the vehicles in case of inclement weather. In the case of extreme weather, Pink Jeep® Tours and/or the Coconino National Forest Service reserves the right to modify, shorten or cancel any tour to prevent damage to trails or avoid unsafe conditions.
Preparing For Your Tour
Check-in is 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time. For tours departing at 7 a.m, please check-in at 6:45 a.m.
All of our tours depart from our office which is located in Uptown Sedona at 204 N. State Route 89A, Sedona, AZ 86336.
If you booked with us directly, you do not need to bring anything at check-in. If you booked through another party, please review the confirmation that you received from them. You may be required to bring proof of purchase or a voucher when you check-in for your tour.
It is customary to tip the guide. Gratuity is based on individual preference but we suggest 15% which is the industry standard. You may tip the guide in cash or have it added to your credit card. For groups of 8 or more, a gratuity of 15% is added.
Dress for the season in comfortable outdoor clothing with closed-toe shoes. Layers are best with jackets in winter and light clothing in summer. Hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses are recommended. Contact lens wearers may want to switch to eyeglasses to avoid eye irritation. Temperatures can be colder in the early hours or at night; the Grand Canyon is 10–15 degrees colder than Sedona.
We recommend bringing a water bottle, camera or cell phone. We have a water refill station located at our Pink Adventure Store to top off your bottle or you can purchase bottled water.
For the safety and comfort of our guests, full meals and glass bottles are prohibited on the vehicle. If necessary, you are welcome to bring a small containable snack such as a granola bar.
A purse or standard-sized backpack is acceptable, however, there is no storage space in our vehicles. Anything you bring needs to fit comfortably in your lap throughout the tour. Note: Navajo Nation does not allow bags, backpacks, fanny packs, hydration bags or purses inside Lower Antelope Canyon.
Pink Jeep Tours provides car seats for children 2 to 4 years of age. Some of our Grand Canyon vehicles require a booster seat for children ages 5 to 7 which we also provide. When you book your tour, please provide us with the ages of any children and we will take care of the rest!
For the comfort of all guests, items prohibited include, but are not limited to: firearms, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, drones, glass containers, alcohol, coolers, professional video equipment, illegal substances, guns, weapons of any kind, or cremated remains.
Weather
The weather in Sedona is 10–15 degrees cooler than in the Phoenix area. Please check the weather forecast and bring extra layers in case of cooler temperatures or the possibility of rain.

Vehicles
All of our vehicles are equipped with seatbelts.
Our guides receive extensive training in both on-road and 4X4 driving techniques. Our guides are also certified in the Smith System driver safety training. All guides are CPR and First Aid certified.
Our open-air Jeep® Wranglers do not have air conditioning or heating, but they are equipped with canopies to shield you from the sun. Our custom, enclosed Tour Trekker vehicles are air-conditioned and heated. Guests are welcome to bring blankets in the winter.
Our tours take you into remote areas where Internet and cell phone services are not available. We recommend to our guests that they switch their phones to airplane mode during the tour so that they can use the camera functions without draining the battery (due to the phone searching for a signal).
